So it does rain in Cape Town...

rain 18 °C

Hi
On Saturday we left Franschhoek in the pouring rain and headed on the N1 towards Camps Bay in Cape Town.
As the weather wasn't great we stopped off at Canal Walk which is the largest shopping mall in the whole continent - over 400 shops.
It was actually pretty impressive and Mish bought a few souvenirs there.
We arrived at our sea facing hillside apartment at Camps Bay at 2pm and were really impressed by it - one full wall is glass.
The owner who was showing us round was also very nice and helpful.

We then had a mini drama as the safe wouldn't open so the guy who owns the apartment had to get a locksmith to open the safe which had our car keys and passports in it.
We then had a few glasses of wine and headed out to a steakhouse called SA Carne, just off Long Street in the centre of Cape Town.
The restaurant was in an industrial chic sort of style and the meat was amazing.
We both opted for a skewer that had ostrich, kudo (antelope) and wildebeest.
All 3 tasted fantastic - kudo was probably our favourite.
We then headed to Long Street Cafe which had a really good vibe and stayed there for a few before headin to Hudson's and then up Kloof to Bombay Bycicle Club which is a really eclectic bar where it's Christmas every day before getting a cab home.
